It took about two months to finish the weaving (after work & weekends!) and the last few inches were the hardest. I never made it to 42" - but 41-1/2 was just fine with me! 
It took another week to finish the rug - wove the warp threads back down into rug (no fringe) and sewed the ends where the braids were joined. And here it is on my kitchen floor !!!
